1pm to 6pm
Town Square, High Street, Slough
Lights and fireworks at 5pm!
Kick off the festive season with an afternoon of fun, fireworks, music and dance at the Slough Christmas lights switch on event! And all for FREE!
And one lucky person will have the chance to help turn on Slough’s Christmas lights alongside The Mayor and Santa. On the day we will be giving out free raffle tickets. Keep this safe as it could be your passport to your best Christmas ever!
If you have the winning ticket, you will also win a basket of goodies from the likes of Tesco, Starbucks, Specsavers, WHSmith and much, much more.
In addition, prizes donated from a range of local retailers will be given out at random during the event.
Singing and dancing galore will be taking place on stage from 1pm with:
Elite Drummers (Dohl drummers)
- Creative Academy (Dancers)
Dan Pryke (local singer)
- Munde Punjab DE (Indian dancers)
- Pop Goes the Choir
- Slough Panto (Beauty and the Beast)
- Sesha Natya Nikethan (classical Indian dance)
- Gaiczek and Lesna (Polish dancing)
Santa joins the fun on stage for the five o'clock switch on, the winner of the big basket of goodies is chosen and the lights go on, the sky lights up with fireworks and 'snow' tumbles through the air!
And the party doesn't stop there with Pop Goes the Choir singing through to 5.45pm.
Councillor Rob Anderson, cabinet member for environment and leisure, said: “The Christmas lights switch on event is a great way to kick off the festive season.
“There’s so much to see and lots of amazing prizes to give away, so come along and join in the fun!
“I look forward to seeing you there!”
